Alapaha Blue Blood Dogs breed or breeds
The Alapaha Blue Blood Bulldog breed was established in 1986. The Alapaha Blue Blood Bulldog during plantation days in southern Georgia was used for watchdogs and livestock working dogs. This breed, like the American Bulldog, are decedents of the original bulldogs that came to this country in the 1700's. They are suspicious of strangers but devoted to their own family. Alapaha Blue Blood Bulldogs are strong, intelligent and make a great companion.

The Alapaha Blue Blood Bulldog is a grand, powerful, exaggerated bulldog with a broad head and natural drop ears. The purpose of this Breed is: Guardian, protection, companion, sport and farm use. As a family guard dog, the Alapaha's mental characteristics and abilities are very impressive. These dogs have been used for centuries as a do-all farm dog. They are used for working cattle and catching hogs. The Alapaha Blue Bulldog has a broad and a classic bulldog shape. They have a short prominent muzzle, drop down ears and set apart eyes. The body is muscular and strong and the legs are straight with cat like feet
Color(s):
Alapahas come in many different colours, including various shades of white, black, red, fawn, and brown. These dogs have white markings and are occasionally piebald spotted.
Coat:
Alapaha Blue Blood Bulldogs have short and stiff coats with soft undercoats. Their coat is thick, short and stiff and comes in a range of colours: brown and blue merle or red merle edged in white or chocolate & white. They have a long narrowed tail and when in motion is parallel with the ground.
