The Tenterfield Terrier Club in Queensland, Australia is where you find the most delightful of small dogs.It is Australia's newest REGISTERED breed of dog and is gaining popularity in leaps and bounds. The Club actively promotes the variety of activities in which Tenties are now gaining respect. Members are encouraged to participate in Showing, Agility, Earth Dog Trials, Obedience, and Lure Racing. This hardy little dog has a smooth, single coat (NO doggie smells around this pooch), is an excellent mouser/ratter as well as being a gentle companion for the older generation. They are extremely kind and loyal and ask nothing more than to be allowed to curl up with you as you watch TV, or to lay at your feet as you wash the dishes. They make excellent watch dogs and will tell you when a visitor is at the door.
