The breed looks like a lamb. It has a head shaped like a pear. Originally used to hunt badgers as well as vermin, the breed has lost some of its powerful structure. It has characteristics of a sight hound with the ability to run down a rabbit. Today, the breed is valued as a companion dog with the quality of absolute loyalty to the family.
