A descendent of the greyhound, this breed was used in Russia for wolf-hunting. With its good looks, this breed has been used as a companion by royalty in both Russia and England. Suited well for domestic life, this breed requires long walks and exercise. It is a sight hound and loves to run. They have fine bones for a large dog making them vulnerable to leg fractures if stressed. Its long hair requires constant grooming.
