The Bulldog emerged from the old bull-baiting dogs, but its shape and substance hasn’t changed throughout the centuries. This breed first appeared as a show dog in 1860 and since then this breed has changed not only in shape but also in personality.
The Bulldog is a magnificent breed giving impression of determination, strength and dignity, and despite the fierce appearance it is very affectionate and loyal. The Bulldog is alert, bold, and courageous. Its head is massive in size, its body is thick set and low and the Bulldog has a very fine textured short coat which comes in various colors.
