Breed Information Changes Click Here and we will post it. Please realize its difficult to obtain 100% accurate breed information. Therefore we are always seeking information about history, origin, health, temperament, standards from different countries, or other information from breeders and clubs. Your personal name, kennels name or clubs name will appear in our credits. 1StopforDogs.com
Thanks goes to the clubs and websites for their links above. Links above will show you information or pages inside this in-line framed window. The links above usually link to the clubs or website's breed index. Scroll Bar >>>
The Chin's coat is black & white or red & white although we have a picture below
of a Chin that looks all white. Their coat should be brushed at least twice a
week.
The Japanese Chin does sometimes have health problems, but it is
best to contact a few of the breeders below for their known problems.
1StopforDogs.com does not want to scare anyone off this excellent breed as they
can live to many, many years as mentioned above. Almost every dog breed has
health problems just like people and they with any breed health has to be
watched for in certain bloodlines.
This breed that is bright, lively, animated , affectionate, and
likes to play. The Japanese Chin is reserved with strangers.
The Japanese Chin does very well as an indoor pet for apartment dwellers or
someone with smaller living spaces.
Because of their long life, I myself as owner of 1StopforDogs.com would
seriously consider this breed for a long-time companion.
