I was fortunate enough to find Animal Behavior College to strengthen my training in many different facets. I have been training dogs for over 20 years, both privately and in group settings. I originally started at the age of 10 with the 4-H as a junior handler, and eventually a junior trainer, this sparked off a life long love of training dogs. I obedience trained dogs throughout my high school years and had a furlough after I started working in law enforcement. Even while in law enforcement I kept in close contact with K-9 officers in the county, learning. Eventually after I left law enforcement, and was diagnosed with a disability, there was the open door…DOGS. I graduated from Hartford University with a Masters Degree in Animal Behavior and Psychology, about the same time I graduated from ABC. With a disability and having trained several service dogs for others with disabilities, I trained my own Ms. Lady Von Falkohager, people underestimate the powers, abilities, intelligence, and overall well being, service dogs can do in assisting them. Unfortunately “Lady” passed away, but she was inspiration! Ms. Kayla Vom Dolberg is now the girl here, watching over me. However, both “Lady” and now “Kayla” always keep me upbeat. I train only private in home basic, intermediate, and advanced obedience, behavioral problem rehabilitation, psychological issues therapy, and most of all specialize in service dogs of all disciplines, especially psychiatric service dogs. In March of 2009 I was interviewed and featured in the USA Today.
