This breed was originally bred to for hunting. Having short legs and powerful jaws, it was used to ferret out badger and fox from their holes. During the last century, the Sealyham was used to find and kill rats and mice. Today it has been developed to be a good companion dog. It has an even-temper and affectionate disposition.
