A tall muscular hunting breed, this dog is fearless in open fields and wooded areas. A member of the Griffon family, it is easy to train to retrieve as well as point. It is the most popular hunting breed in Italy. An excellent swimmer, this pointer does well in marshlands. As a companion dog, it is intelligent and affectionate. It does well with children.
